Memorial day 2008 will now have more memories for Mariano. Today he did his first Solo flight. He said it was a freedom he was looking forward to. We congratulate Mariano on this most exciting achievement on your quest for you PPL.

Reaching one more milestone on his training, Spins completed today his first Solo flight. The event was recorded by an on-board camera and from the looks of it he had a ball. The video shows his last landing very smooth. Congratulations to Francisco on a great acomplishment.

With great pride the Silverbell Aero Club announces the first Private Pilot to come out of the club. On March 18th, 2008 Ken was able to complete his Check Ride and attain his Private Pilot License. He was overheard saying "...it is a good thing I passed, my wife said 'do not come home until you are a pilot', it is great to archive this dream that started a long time ago"

Short celebrations were held at the Rayan Field followed by a 100 hr check on the clubs new Cherokee 140 over at Tucson International. It was a full day of aviation. Ken experienced the life of a pilot student, licensed pilot and "disaster" mechanic in a single day.

 We wish Ken and his family many congratulations and many hours on the sky.
